The majority of people who start businesses don't  fully understand this point, and often approach their business as if they were merely working as an employee. It's important to be able to explain to people what  your business has to offer, but, also, you have to be able to tell them about yourself. You may be uncomfortable self-promoting; nevertheless, if you want to be successful as an  entrepreneur, you have to overcome this reluctance. Never  before has there been so much information available for people.  This is good news for new entrepreneurs because anything they need to learn can easily be found and, for the most part, the information comes with no cost. Yet this  can also cause a problem. At some point, you have to take action if you want to accomplish something. We've seen many people who've never actually taken that first step to start their business, but have spent  years researching and learning and gathering information. You have to be able to recognize the balance point where you stop studying and researching, and turn what you've learned into action. Make it a habit to put what you've learned into practice before you move on the a new subject to master. You don't want to be a student of entrepreneurship and that's what you would be if you only studied and researched how to be an  entrepreneur, but never put anything you learned into action. You must always keep up with the latest technology, especially in  regard to your business today. Staying on top of the  business and technology in your industry, along with the latest news, is what you need to do. Read books and magazines, and attend lectures and  seminars when you can.
